Cobden Art Group prepares
MONTHS of hard work will culminate in the Cobden Rotary Club’s Autumn Art Show by the Cobden Art Group.
MONTHS of hard work will culminate in the Cobden Rotary Club’s Autumn Art Show by the Cobden Art Group.
More than 100 works of art completed by members of the Cobden Art Group will be on display at the Cobden Senior Citizen’s Hall on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 between 10am and 4pm.
“The artworks created by members who come from as far as Peterborough will include watercolours, acrylics and pastels as well as handmade cards,” Cobden Art Group member Marilyn Kimber said.
Attendees will also be able to take home their favourite pieces to add to their or start their own art collections, with all artworks at the show up for sale.
Mrs Kimber said entry for the art show was $5 for adults and free for kids, which includes refreshments.
She said there would also be raffle tickets supporting the Cobden Rotary Club.
“The Cobden Art Group is extremely grateful for Cobden Rotary’s help which has enabled the art show to happen,” Mrs Kimber said.
“The Cobden Art Group members encourage everyone to come and visit their art show.
“Our members have put a lot of time and effort into providing residents far and wide with an array of art which they hope visitors will enjoy.
“Join us for a lovely outing.”
