DESPITE the heavy conditions for golf last Friday, a Cobden team has taken home the Place/Rix Team Event.

Ellen Darcy, Marie Smith and Nettie Hose finished the day with 91 points to take out first place.
Peterborough golfers Melissa Hammond, Karen Matheson and Pam Payne finished with 89 points to take second place.
The best individual player was Ellen Darcy with 34 points on countback from Ena Byron.
Several Cobden ladies also travelled to East Framlingham last Monday to play Hamilton in round four of the division two handicap.
Sherine Healey won her game two up and Di McKenzie won her match with one hole to play.
Rhonda Alexander lost 3/1 while Carmel Darcy lost one up and Jeannine White lost 4/3.
The ladies remain optimistic to win well next week and get into the finals to be played at Terang on Monday, May 22.
