Cobden golf results
THIRTEEN players contested a stableford competition at the Cobden Golf Club last Wednesday.
The event highlighted the best nine in and best nine out.
Best nine in was won by Elaine Telford on 19 points while Dave Stewart finished on 20 to take the best nine out.
Nearest the pin: 4th Sherine Healey (A grade), Marie Smith (B), Raelene Halliburton (C) and Alex Holster (men’s); 7th Sherine Healey; second shot on the 8th Pat Tickner (A grade); 10th Sherine Healey (A grade) and Alex Holster (men’s).
Balls down the line – nine out: Alex Holster, Thelma Green and Sherine Healey on 17 points; nine in – Alex Holster 17, Ellen Darcy and Carmel Darcy 16.
On Wednesday, June 19, 14 players contested a stableford competition.
The winner was Ev Boyd with 37 stableford points while Ellen Darcy was runner-up on 36.
Nearest the pins: A grade – Ellen Darcy (4th) and Carmel Darcy (10th); B grade – Jeannine White (4th) and Marie Smith (10th); C grade – Ev Boyd (4th); men – Alex Holster (10th).
The Pre-Mix hole on the 7th went to at Tickner while on the second shot to the 8th Ellen Darcy won A grade and Jeannine White was closest for B grade.
Balls down the line: Carmel Darcy and Di Adams.
