COBDEN’S junior footballers and netballers celebrated season 2023 with their annual presentation night last week.

COBDEN’S junior footballers and netballers celebrated season 2023 with their annual presentation night last week.
More than 200 people attended the event, held at Cobden Civic Hall last Friday night.
According to junior club director Chris Walsh, the evening was well attended.
“It was a great night, that was very well attended by players, families and supporters,” Walsh said.
“Our congratulations to all award winners and to all teams on a terrific season.”
Awards were presented to the following players:
Football
Unders 16 – best and fairest Darcy Hutchins, runner-up (and goal kicking) Kurtis Baker, most consistent Campbell Walsh, most improved Kayden Daffy, most promising Ryan Mottram, most determined Parker Walsh and coaches award Hamish Dean.
Under 14 – best and fairest Darnel Nguena, runner-up Leonard Walsh, goal kicking and most consistent Micah Darcy, most improved Logan Lyne, best first year player Harry Jenkins, most determined Rusty Ponting and coaches award Riley Beames and Broly Henderson.
Netball
Under 15 reserves – best and fairest Mia McVilly, runner-up Chloe Bridges and coaches award Matilda Anderson.
Under 13 reserves – best and fairest Athena Chivell, runner-up Daisy Courtney, Jess McDonald and Charlotte Dean, and coaches award Grace Hester.
