Cobden Scouts need leaders
UNLESS more parents put their hands up to take on a leadership role within the 1st Cobden Scout Group, the group could fold at the end of the year.
Scout leader Sarah Canavan said a meeting was held recently to try and get more people to take on leadership roles.
“We had about 10 parents and guardians there,” she said.
“At the end of this term, there will be just me as a leader.
“We will keep it going until the end of the year and if we have no other leaders, we will just keep Scouts going.
“It would be really sad.”
Mrs Canavan said all training was provided for the roles and could be completed over two years.
Leaders are needed for the Cubs and Joeys divisions.
