Cobden stars shine

THREE Cobden netballers have been named in the Hampden League’s 2022 Team of the Year.

THREE Cobden netballers have been named in the Hampden League’s 2022 Team of the Year.

Announced during the league’s annual vote count and presentations, which were live-streamed last weekend, Remeny McCann (GK), Sarah Moroney (WD) and Molly Hutt (GA) all featured in the 11-member team which recognises the league’s top players.

Also included in the side were Carly Watson and Annie Blackburn (South Warrnambool), Maddison Vardy and Skye Billings (North Warrnambool Eagles), Isabella Baker (Koroit), Lily Eldridge (Camperdown), Amy Wormald (Warrnambool) and Kellie Sommerville (Hamilton Kangaroos).

Cobden senior coach Sophie Hinkley was named ‘coach of the year’.
