Cobden streetworks progress
CONCRETE works for the Cobden streetscape project were completed earlier this month.

CONCRETE works for the Cobden streetscape project were completed earlier this month.
Shire manager of works John Kelly said the contractor could not install the six banner poles because it was too windy.
“They are expected to be installed by next week, weather permitting,” he said.
“Council has modified 12 traffic islands.”
Mr Kelly said other works completed included installation of kerb outstands in Victoria Street at the Silvester Street intersection which will reduce the road width for those crossing Victoria Street at this location.
“The areas behind the new kerbs have been topsoiled and grass seeded to soften the look of these areas,” he said.
“Similarly the brick and concrete patterns in the traffic islands on the approaches to the Curdie Street roundabouts have been replaced with topsoil and grass seeding to soften the look of these islands.”
