Cobden Tech invites community to service
COBDEN Technical School will again pay tribute to war veterans buried at the Cobden Cemetery.
The final resting place of more than 95 war veterans will be recognised during the service, which will see Australian flags temporarily placed besides the graves.
The project in an initiative of the Cobden Technical School, with the support of the Cobden Cemetery Trust.
Cobden Technical School’s Narelle Holliday invited the community to attend the service on Wednesday, April 24 at 11.30am.
“The Cobden Technical School students will help the Cobden Cemetery Trust members with the cleaning of the graves and installing the flags,” she said.
“There will be a live stream on the Cobden Technical School facebook page for those that can’t make it.”
Ms Holliday said she is looking forward to the service, which has become an annual tradition for the school and community.
