Delays expected
TRAFFIC disruptions are predicted across the district as the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) undertake testing and inspections on the Victorian arterial road network.
Road works are predicted to run from September until May 2025.
The asphalt testing enables an assessment of the road condition to allow the DTP to plan the works required along the road network.
DTP Barwon South West and Grampians executive director Michael Bailey asked drivers to take care as crews worked on the assessments.
“We’ve currently got crews out right across the network carrying out testing and inspections to help us plan for our upcoming maintenance program,” he said.
“These assessments help us to determine what sort of work is needed and where, as we get ready to rebuild and repair roads across the state, including western Victoria.”
