Demons too good for Eagles
IN one of the upsets of the round last weekend, Lismore Derrinallum defeated the third-placed Hawkesdale Macarthur by nine points.
The seventh-placed Demons, who now sit just a game out of the five behind reigning premiers Tatyoon (sixth) and Ararat (fifth), showed grit and determination to topple the Eagles on Saturday.
The win will no doubt give the Demons a boost in the race to finals and they will be eager to take another win when they meet SMW Rovers tomorrow.
Final scores last weekend were Lismore Derrinallum 13.10.88 to Hawkesdale Macarthur 11.13.79.
Lachie Constable led the way on the scoreboard, kicking seven for the day, and was well supported by Lachlan Coutts with two, Jack McCallum, Blake Scott and Henry Walsh.
Best players included Walsh, Constable, Hayden Brett, Will Langley, Blake Scott and Jack McCallum.
Lismore Derrinallum’s reserves sit third on the ladder after last weekend’s 75-point win over the Eagles, 16.14.110 to 5.5.35.
Bradley Schiltz booted eight goals, Riley Browne and Ryan Jeffrey added three each, while Robbie McGavin and Jack Sanders were also contributors to the board.
Schiltz was named best on ground, along with Browne, Matthew Bacon, Todd Lamont, Paul Hodder and Jack Sanders.
Lismore Derrinallum’s under 16.5 side is still hunting its first win after going down to the Eagles by 27 points, 3.4.22 to 7.7.49.
Best for the side were Dillon Gordon, Angus Stewart, Billy Snibson, Jack Mitchell, Sam Snibson and Jackson Rumler.
Dillon Gordon kicked three for the day.

B grade – Hawkesdale Macarthur defeated Lismore Derrinallum 33-27.
C grade – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Hawkesdale Macarthur 45-10.
18 and under – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Hawkesdale Macarthur 40-18. Best: Stella Horspole and Holly Bond.
15 and under – Hawkesdale Macarthur defeated Lismore Derrinallum 17-16.
13 and under – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Hawkesdale Macarthur 11-4.
