Demons volunteer recognised with league award
TIMBOON Demons’ volunteer Andrew Pegg has been recognised for his commitment with a league award.
Pegg was recently presented with the Logie Watson Volunteer of the Year Award at the Warrnambool and District Football Netball League’s annual presentation night.
Pegg has held the role of club secretary with the Demons for the past two seasons and has also taken on numerous roles with the club in recent times.
This has included handling all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Demons, organising game day awards and team manager requirements for all 11 grades of football and netball.
He has also taken on the role of membership registrar, has been on the sponsorship committee and has been assistant football trainer for the reserve grade and junior football.
As joint game day secretary, Pegg has been responsible for compiling results and delivering them to the association.
He has also taken on the role of goal umpire on a regular basis and assists each week behind the bar.
A tireless worker for the Demons, Pegg’s commitment and enthusiasm is no doubt greatly appreciated by all at the club.
