FIONA Noone enjoyed a convincing 27-7 victory in the ladies’ singles championships at Derrinallum Bowling Club last week.

Fiona, who played off against Anne Hughes, took the ladies’ title while Paul Carmichael defeated Robert Morrison 26-19 to take the men’s championship.

The club teams are currently both travelling well, with the Saturday pennant team sitting on top of the ladder following last weekend’s game against Skipton.

This ended in a draw after going down to the last shot of the game.

The Tuesday teams are also travelling well, with teams being a mix of men and lady skippers each week.

The club has begun its mixed pairs championships, with further games to be played this weekend.

All players will enjoy a Christmas break before starting back on the green early January.
