CORANGAMITE Shire Council has put forward an offer for community groups to quite literally promote their calendar event.

Organisers can promote their event in every home in the shire, and beyond, as part of the 2024 Corangamite Shire Council calendar which will be mailed to all shire households in December, and is offered to visitors to the region.

Corangamite Shire mayor Ruth Gstrein said the calendar was a great opportunity to put local events in the spotlight.

“Planning a local event for 2024? Don’t miss your chance to promote it far and wide by listing in the 2024 Corangamite calendar,” she said.

“By being part of council’s calendar you could potentially have a presence in just about every home in the shire, and beyond.”

Cr Gstrein said each year around 10,000 calendars were printed featuring images of the shire, including its natural attractions, cultural activities and goods and services.

“In 2024 they are again set to be hung prominently in homes and businesses around the district so they can remind residents of what’s coming up, including your event.

“It lists the key dates and fantastic things we have to do around the shire throughout the year, including markets, agricultural shows, festivals school holidays and special events.

“Visitors also pick up copies and it gets sent as a Christmas gift around the world which really puts Corangamite Shire in the spotlight to a far wider audience.”

To register your event online visit www.corangamite.vic.gov.au/events by Friday, November 10.
