THERE were smiles all round at the Timboon Men’s Shed last week.

Members of the Timboon Masonic Lodge – a part of Freemasons Victoria – presented men’s shed members with a cheque for $5000.

Timboon Men’s Shed president John Wigley said the funds would be put towards a key upgrade for the shed.

“We’re very grateful for the donation,” he said.

“We’re looking to put the money towards a dust extractor for the shed and a few tools.”

Timboon Masonic Lodge secretary Kelvin Grant said the funds were accessed from the Grand Lodge Foundation Fund.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to help the Timboon Men’s Shed,” he said.

“It is also helping to keep the money in Timboon.

“The Timboon Lodge is pleased to able to receive this support from the Grand Lodge.”

Timboon and district men interested in finding out more about the men’s shed were encouraged to attend a session on Tuesdays between 9am and 1.30pm or Thursdays between 9am and 12noon.

“Come along and make yourself at home, we’re always open to new members,” Mr Wigley said.

“All ages are welcome.”

The Timboon Men’s Shed is located at 41 Bailey Street, Timboon.
