Dynamo wins premiership
DYNAMO has capped off a great season of indoor netball to win the grand final at Mortlake.
After moving to the top of the ladder in the final round, Dynamo found themselves up against Spirit for the premiership match.
Spirit went in to the game with just two losses for the season while Dynamo had lost just one game and drawn one.
After a great first half, Dynamo went in to the main break with a strong 21-12 goal lead which set them up for the second half.
Even though Spirit outscored them by five goals in the second half, Dynamo took the win 33-29.
The best and fairest vote was won by Santanea Sciascia-Potae with nine votes, followed by four runners-up on eight – Cam Goddard, Amy McCormick, Holly Fowler and Meg Pekin.
Most improved player for this season was Harley Pickford.
This was Harley’s first pennant and from the first game he was eager to listen and learn from umpires.
