Edwards wins President's Handicap
IN only his second year of bowling, Greg Edwards has won the Magpies Golf Bowls Club President’s Handicap.

Edwards, who was up against the previous year’s winner in Paul Richards, held his nerve throughout what was an enthralling contest to win the match 21-15.
In another final last Saturday afternoon, the mixed pairs was played between Noelene Tolland/John O’Donoghue and John and Janet Molan.
This was played over 15 ends.
In a very tight match, the Molan’s prevailed with a one-shot win, 13- 12.
In the ladies competition, the 100 up was completed, with Tolland defeating Waterfall.
On Good Friday the club held its successful Lakes and Craters Open Fours Tournament.
This was won by a team from Belmont Bowling Club.
The team included two former locals in Robin Hayes and Ron “Snowy” Stephens.
Also last weekend, a team comprising Ray Bateman, Graeme Fitzgerald and Daryl Wiggins were runners-up in the annual Balmoral Yabbie weekend.
It is understood that the yabbies were washed down with a very favorite beverage or two at the end of the tournament.
The club is holding its presentation night tonight (Friday) and a full report will be published in next week’s Camperdown Chronicle.
