WITH just five rounds remaining, Kolora Noorat has its eyes set on going deep into finals in 2023.

The Power’s senior side currently sits third on the Warrnambool District ladder, just a game behind Nirranda.

After going down to Panmure by just two points in last year’s preliminary final, the Power will be hungry to go one step further in 2023.

Taking on the fifth-placed Russells Creek at Mack Oval last weekend, the side worked hard in the second quarter to turn a three-point deficit from the opening round into a marginal four-point lead going into the main break.

The second half was a stronger one for the Power, making good use of the footy in the forward line to add five goals 10 while containing the home side to just two goals three.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 11.12.78 to Russells Creek 6.13.49.

With four goals for the day, Lucas Boyd was named best for the side along with Benjamin Moloney, Ryan O’Connor, Sam Uwland, Jarrod Evans and Nick Marshall.

Caleb Kavanagh contributed two goals while Paddy Baker, Ted Kenna, Ed Lee, Benjamin Moloney and Darcy Vick each contributed one.

Kolora Noorat’s reserves found the going tough and struggled to score, finishing the day with just two points on the board while the home side recorded 5.12.42.

Tyler Barrett, Ethan Wyss, Paul McSween, Bohdie Gill, Mitchell Jubb and George Beasley were named best for the team.

The Power’s A grade netballers are holding on to third spot on the ladder after a strong 45-26 goal win on the weekend.

A reserve went down to Russells Creek 12-29 while B grade lost 18-27.

In the junior games, the 17 and unders lost 17-39 while the 15 and under team defeated Russells Creek 23-15 and the 13 and unders won 14-13.

This weekend will see Kolora Noorat travel to Timboon to take on the Demons.
