Facility grants
SPORTING clubs and organisations across Corangamite Shire can apply for grants of up to $7500 through the Facility Design Grants program.
The program helps organisations fund schematic designs or quantity surveyor costs to redevelop sport and recreation facilities or plan new ones.
Corangamite Shire Council acting manager facilities and recreation Jane Hinds said the funding will support sporting organisations with financial capacity and relevant projects to have “shovel ready” designs which can be used for applications to future grant programs.
“To be eligible, organisations’ primary facility must be located in Corangamite Shire,” she said.
“Providing improved facilities for participants and officials which meet the principles of universal design and relevant state sporting association guidelines will improve the experience of participation in sport and recreation.
“It is expected that projects will be completed by November 30, 2025.”
Ms Hinds said applicants must be able to demonstrate a capacity to manage the project within the proposed time frame.
Applications are now open and close at 5pm on Friday, December 15.
