False alarm at pub
COBDEN Country Fire Authority (CFA) units were called to a reported chimney fire at Thompson’s Hotel on Friday night.

District 6 assistant chief fire officer Craig Brittain said it was assessed as a false alarm on arrival.
“Three trucks attended,” he said.
“It was not what it was reported to be.”
