Cobden residents can look forward to enjoying multiple family-friendly days across all seasons.

At a meeting of the Cobden Festivals and Events committee on Monday night, discussion centred around the possible introduction of new entertainment and activities.

“By now everyone is aware that the Spring Festival isn’t going ahead and instead will transition into a series of one-day mini festivals and events,” committee member Kelvin White said.

“We’ve already enjoyed a couple of successful Saturday events and we want to keep these one-day events coming.”

Cobden’s business and economic development consultant Laura Hultgren also attended this week’s meeting and said she was hoping to chat to teens and young adults to find out what entertainment

they would like to see at future Cobden events.

“The group was really optimistic about upcoming events that are being planned and there will definitely be plenty of fun for kids and adults alike,” she said.

Ms Hultgren said the group was open to new ideas and encouraged people toget involved.

“If anyone would like to become involved in the planning of community events for Cobden they are welcome to attend the next meeting which will be held on Monday, June 20 from 6.30pm in the Cobden Civic hall.”

Ms Hultgren can also be contacted on 0439 496 122.
