Fancy a cuppa?
SIMPSON and district residents are encouraged to sit down for a cuppa and a chat for a good cause next month.
Simpson and District Community Centre co-ordinator Debra Smith said the event will be held at the centre on Wednesday, June 5 from 10.30am.
“We decided to run a Biggest Morning Tea as we haven’t had one in Simpson for a few years and most people have been touched by cancer in some way, so it is a great cause,” she said.
“We are hoping to have a selection of sweet and savoury treats to tempt the palette and if anyone wants to assist they are very welcome.”
Mrs Smith said the wider community is welcome.
“It’s open to anyone who would like to drop in and make a donation,” she said.
Residents who are able to assist with the morning tea are asked to contact the centre on 5594 3448.
