Fantastic night for cyclists
FANTASTIC conditions saw the riders contest a very close and fast race last Thursday.
The race started with younger riders working together under the experienced eye of Matt G.
All three riders worked together to hold off the next bunch before Old Depot road.
After the second bunch was caught, the limit riders formed another bunch which would eventually be the winning group over the line.
Scratch riders continued to charge around the circuit, showing increased strength and speedworking with Shaun to finish over the line mid field.
Amazingly five riders smashed their personal best times.
The winner of the race was Lawson on his bigger bike with a time of 12.19, second over the line was Nathaniel with a (11.19, PB) and third place was Thea (11.25) recording her fastest time at the club.
Fastest time and 4th place on the night of (09.14) was Oliver.Josh came over the line with the same time of (09.14, PB). Additional times recorded were Zane (10.06), Rieley (12.52, PB), Henry (12.53), Finn (09.31, PB), and Quinn (11.01).
Most importantly all riders pasted the finish line with a smile on their face.
The Senior race continued the fast pace around the Chocolyn block. Limit held off the scratch until Wire lane. Both groups worked well together until the leader group was formed and continued to storm to the finish line.
Winner was Shaun, second was Josh and third was Todd. Oliver, Tanya, Matt G, and Zane all finished strongly up Gellie Street to the finish line.
