Final week for little aths
LAST Friday’s final week of Camperdown Little Athletics saw 95 athletes dress up as their favourite superhero or in their favourite colour.
The group enjoyed participating in a fun night of giveaways along with a try at the walk events.
It was great to see committee members and parents getting into the spirit of the night, which culminated in a parents v athletes race.
The last 15 weeks saw an incredible amount of growth in all participants who have learnt new skills, made new friends and had fun.
The committee thanks everyone for another great season and looks forward to seeing everyone back on March 22 for the annual presentation and awards night at the Camperdown College sports precinct track.

The annual meeting will be held at the Hampden Hotel on Tuesday, March 26 at 6pm.
New committee members are always welcome and the group is on the look out for a new secretary and general committee members.
Even though the season has ended, the club will be represented at the upcoming Little Athletics Victoria State Track and Field championships as well as the WCR cross-country in June.
Best of luck to all athletes competing at their school athletics carnivals.
This year will also see some athletes age-out of little athletics and move on to other sports.
While they will no longer be competing on a Friday night, the club looks forward to watching their achievements and they are always welcome back in the future as mentors, helpers, officials and one day even as parents.
The centre thanks them all for their dedication to the group and to the sport and wishes them all well.
Many thanks to families and volunteers for their help this season also.
A reminder the next season will start in October (term four).
