The Demons are showing good form in the Mininera League series, with the club’s senior and reserve football sides both set to tackle semi-final matches on Sunday.

The club’s senior side will take on Hawkesdale Macarthur at Woorndoo after losing to Penshurst by 64 points in last weekend’s qualifying round at Caramut.

In a second versus third clash, the Bombers proved too strong for the Demons, 19.12.126 to 9.8.62.

Jack Pitts booted home three goals for the Demons, while Bradley Schiltz added two and James Halloran, Jack McCallum, Blake Scott and Bradley Ward contributed one apiece.

Josh Anderson, Bailey Austin, Nicholas Schiemer, Henry Walsh, Charlie Brett and James Halloran were named in the best.

The Demons’ reserves have earned themselves a semi-final match after defeating Wickliffe Lake Bolac by 43 points in last Sunday’s elimination final.

Riley Browne booted four goals for the side and was named in the best alongside team-mates Todd Lamont, Tim Turner, Jason Germon, Beau Ketchen and Sebastian Smith.

The side will face Ararat on Sunday.

On the netball courts, the Demons’ young 13 and under side showed plenty of heart and resilience in its elimination match against Glenthompson Dunkeld on Sunday but went down 13-24.

The club’s 18 and under team defeated Ararat 26-27 and will now play Caramut in Sunday’s semi-final.

The B grade elimination saw the Demons end Tatyoon’s finals campaign, winning 33-30.

Best players for the side were Bridgette Filbay and Isaelle McLinden.

Lismore Derrinallum’s C grade netballers finished on top of the ladder and will face Ararat this Saturday, with the winning progressing straight through to the grand final.
