POLICE have appealed for help to catch a brazen thief following a fuel drive-off in Cobden this week

Cobden sergeant Heather Morris said the incident occurred at the Cobden Roadhouse at 11.40am on Wednesday.

“A white vehicle attended the Cobden Roadhouse and stole $77 worth of fuel and $57 worth of cigarettes and drinks,” she said.

“The male walked into the shop and stole drinks and cigarettes without paying.

“The offender is believed to have committed similar drive off offences.”

Sgt Morris said enquiries into the theft were pending.

At least two passengers were believed to be in the vehicle, with the offender.
