Full program of hockey
CORANGAMITE Hockey players enjoyed a jam-packed program last weekend.
A happy group of Hookin2Hockey players took to the field for practice and organisers are eagerly looking forward to the team’s first game on Saturday.
Last Friday night the under 16 side took on top team Technique and despite some good play, Tech ran away with the win.
On a positive note, Corangamite’s goalie, Quinn, had the opportunity to show his skills.
The ‘You Rock’ award this week goes to Ava who, despite not playing in her favourite position all the time, always gives 100 per cent.
The under 14s enjoyed a great game.
They worked together well and included everyone in passes.
Many thanks to Taleah and Jess for volunteering to play with the opposition to fill numbers and congratulations to Jacob and Bentley who played their first under 14 game.
Zoe was given the GOAT award for being such an awesome team member and assisting in a couple of goals.
There was some fantastic skills on display during the last mod comp games for the season (before the round robin).
Blue lost to Purple 1-4. Umpire points went to Harrison and Will (Blue) and Amelia and Annabelle (Purple).
Yellow and Green drew 1-1. Umpire points went to Charlie and Lexi (Yellow) and Archie and Oliver (Green).
On Sunday some of the Corangamite players took part in a training session for goal keepers with South West Country Eagles.
This session was a lot of fun and offered plenty of new skills.
