Funding committed for C’Mite Shire projects
POLWARTH Labor Candidate Hutch Hussein met with local groups recently after a series of projects were funded in the Corangamite Shire.

POLWARTH Labor Candidate Hutch Hussein met with local groups recently after a series of projects were funded in the Corangamite Shire.
The Victorian Government recently announced $1.25 million for five projects through the latest round of the Regional Infrastructure Fund and Investment FastTrack Fund.
Corangamite Shire Council will receive funding for:
• Unlocking Housing Terang, $607,500;
• Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail bridge replacement, $474,885;
• Corangamite Council organics waste management assessment, $40,000; and
• Camperdown Theatre Complex Project, $75,000.
Fonterra Cobden also received $50,000 to explore milk spray dryer efficiency and reliability improvements.
Mrs Hussein welcomed the funding inthe shire.
“It was terrific to hear from Corangamite Council about how the $75,000 grant will assist them to start the process of converting the old theatre complex into a co-working space and upgrade their library facilities,”she said.
“I’m so proud of Labor’s $474,885 contribution to replacing the bridge for the Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail bridges.
“I can’t wait to come back with my family and ride the trail.”
