A SMALL gesture of kindness has brought a smile to the faces of local police officers after a “thank you” drawing was left at Terang police station.
The drawing features duelling Marvel Comics characters Spider-man and Iron Man with the words “thank you” pencilled in.
The drawing was signed “From Harry.”
Terang Police acting sergeant Natalie Jorgensen said nobody at the station knows who Harry is, but were thankful for his support.
“It was left here at the station under the door,” she said.
“It’s a really, really nice gesture.”
The drawing has since been prominently displayed on a whiteboard in the centre of the station for all the officers to enjoy.
“I think during COVID times it lifts our spirits a bit because as police it can be a bit of a thankless job at times,” Act Sgt Jorgenson said.
“Something like this just lifts our spirits, and it isnice to see the kid appreciates police.”
“Thank you very much for your picture, Harry. It has made our day.”
Act Sgt Jorgensen said Harry was welcome to visitthe station so police could say thank you to him inperson.
“If Harry would like to come down to the station, we would be more than happy to show him the station and the police van,” she said.
If a family member of Harry would like to get in touch, Western District Newspapers would love to share his story and help him get in touch with the local police officers who appreciate his kind gesture.
