GARY Marr prevailed over a field of 14 to win Terang Golf Club’s monthly medal in a stroke round last Saturday.
Scoring was difficult for some courtesy of a tricky breeze, but Marr negotiated the conditions the best for the day and in so doing was awarded the monthly medal for June with the score of 91-16-75 ahead of runner-up Tim Keane (9) 77.
Other leading scores were Chris Coolahan (16) 79, Paul Healey (16) 80 and Michael Sargeant (19) 80.
Nearest the pins were recorded by Marion Venn (third hole) and Michael Sargeant (sixth hole).
Paul Healey won the putting competition with 29 putts for his round.
Sunday morning golf was a round of three person Ambrose, with the weather holding off just long enough for everyone to stay dry.
Winners: Peter Molan, Peter Taylor, Kerry Clarke 46 points; runners-up: Ross Potter, Roy Baker, Alan Brockton 44 points.
Balls down the line: Timothy Rollo, Paul Arundell, Geoff Campbell 41 points.
Nearest the pin was recorded by Roy Baker on the ninth hole, while Timothy Rollo won the club ball.
Long weekend coming up, so come and play. 9am shotgun start every week, all very welcome.
