Good conditions for golf
WEDNESDAY golfers enjoyed excellent conditions for the first round of the July monthly medal at the Camperdown course this week.
The course is playing very well for this time of year and it was great to see a number of social golfers also out enjoying the course.
David Absolom won A grade with 71-+2-73 with Liz Fryther the runner-p with 101-23-78.
B grade was won by Kerri Absolom 112-35-77 and the runner-up was Maree Finlay 106-27-79.
The nine-hole competition was scored on the top nine and was won by Deb Narik.
Doreen Horan recorded the least number of putts for the day on very fast greens (33).
Nearest the pins: 9th Deb Narik, 16th Gabby Gill, 17th Dave Absolom.
Balls down the line were awarded to Deb Narik, Jenny Hillman, Doreen Horan and Gayle Gill.
The July monthly medal result will be decided after this Saturday’s round.
Next Wednesday’s competition will be ambrose pairs, with partners drawn on the day.
