Good scores at Cobden golf

TWENTY-two players contested the Barrett Shield (stableford) event at Cobden Golf Club last Friday.

D. Absalom was the winner of A grade on 33 points, followed by J. Walker 33 on countback.

B grade was won by A. Stevens on 37 points, followed by F. Bosch on 35 points.

Balls down the line went to D. Stewart and A. Giles.

The Barrett Shield winner (best two rounds out of three) went to A. Stevens 74, followed by D. Absalom on 72, J. Walker 68, A. Holster 68 and C. Sargeant 68.

Nearest the pin: 4th J. Walker, 7th A. Stevens, 10th T. Baker and closest second on the second (handicap 16-36) went to A. Stevens.

This Saturday, October 5, will be the monthly medal (stroke) and putting competition.
