ROUND one was a successful one for Mortlake’s WDPA mens’ triples.

All teams progressed through to the quarter finals.

George, Dave and Peter B defeated the Timboon side; Les (in a composite side with Wayne Cooper and Mark Bowles) defeated a Dennington side; Kevin J, Scott and Phil D (Timboon) defeated the second Dennington side and Darren (in a composite side with Scott Boschen and Blackie Lenehan) defeated one of the Warrnambool sides.

In the quarter finals, George, Dave and Peter B met up with the Warrnambool side skippered by Daryl Andrew.

Unfortunately for George, Dave and Chick their run ended there.

Kevin J, Scott and Phil D (Timboon) met Les' side and unfortunately, Kevin J, Scott and Phil's run came to an end.

Les' team met the winner of the next match on Sunday morning in the semi-finals.

Darren, Scott and Blackie made it through to the semi-finals on Sunday morning.

Les' team had a great game and was named the WDPA 2023-24 mens’ triples runner-up.

Good luck to the following for the WDPA Mixed Pairs entries this Sunday: Les and Betty Johnson; Kevin Johnson and C Haberfield.

A reminder that WDPA men’s and womens’ pairs entries close on Saturday, October 28 at 7pm.

Entry via BowlsLink and contact Scott if there are any issues.
