Grace returns to school
STUDENTS at Camperdown College’s junior and senior campuses were among those filled with excitement following a visit from Olympic gold medalist Grace Brown last week.

Mrs Brown, who was a former student of Camperdown College, visited the school last Thursday for a meet and greet with students from both campuses.
Principal Xavier Davis said Mrs Brown took a tour of both Camperdown College campuses, reminiscing about her time at school with help from a display of school photos featuring the Olympian, before being a special guest at a student led assembly.
“Grace answered questions prepared by our Junior School Council and Senior Representative Council students, before sharing further elements of her impressive sporting journey,” he said.
“Grace then showcased her athletic prowess by competing against students in a range of novelty events from hula hooping to javelin.
“It provided many laughs and a competitive feel to what was a very memorable day for our school community.
“Grace left with a collection of drawings compiled by our students and our students left with her message of ‘country kids can have big dreams’ with both having an impact in their own special way.”
