SIMPSON Men’s Shed proudly showed off some new tools purchased thanks to a Corangamite Shire grant.
The group were one of the 94 community groups who received grants last year.
With the $2000 Community Grant funds members were able to purchase new tools including a new bandsaw, router tool, drill set, and new socket set as well as new PPE for members.
Previously they had been using tools in need of an upgrade, or bringing in their own.
Shed member Anton Maurus encouraged other community groups to apply for the grants.
“For anyone thinking of going for a grant, we strongly recommend you take it up and apply,” he said.
