EIGHTEEN ladies competed in the first week of Cobden ladies golf championships.
The A grade winner was Thelma Green with 93–21–72 and the runner-up was Di Adams on 91-17–74.
B grade was won by Di McKenzie 99–28–71 with Janine Stevens the runner-up on 99–26–73.
Nearest the pins: 4th A grade Di Adams, B grade Deb Ferrari; 10th A grade Di Adams, B grade Deb Ferrari and C grade Kate Parlour.
Camperdown Pre-mix 7th Deb Ferrari and the second shot in A grade went to Sherine Healey.
Balls down the line: Jeannine White 77, Carmel Darcy 77, Sherine Healey 77.
Saturday’s stableford/privilege pot saw D. Stewart take A grade on 40 points, with D. Oakley the runner-up on 34 points.
B grade was won by A. Stevens with 39 points from runner-up G. Byrne on 37.
Balls down the line went to L. Green, B. Bourke, J. Mason, C. Horan and W.Gibson.
Twenty-one players enjoyed the day’s competition.
Nearest the pin on the fourth and the 10th was A. Couch while C. Cobbledick took out the seventh.
A. Stevens was closest second on the second while D. Oakley was closest second on the 14th.
D. Stewart also took home the privilege pot.
This weekend will be rounds one and two of club championships.
