Group member Gary Kimber said U3A were honoured to have retired wing commander Kevin Murray present a special Remembrance Day talk.
“Kevin spoke passionately and personally about what impact wars have had on his family over the past 100 years,” he said.
“He spoke of family members and defence force people with whom he encountered on his overseas deployments.
“Kevin’s message is that we should never forget what has happened and that we continue to thank all service women and men for all of their service and sacrifice.”
