A Victoria Police spokesperson said detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which took place on Tuesday, September 17.

“Western Region Crime Squad detectives are investigating a burglary in Terang,” the spokesperson said.

“It is believed an unknown offender drove a silver-coloured vehicle through the wall of a Shadforth Street residence at about 2am before stealing three firearms.

“No one was inside the property at the time.”

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information which could assist police inquiries is asked to reach out.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information that could assist investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au,” the Victoria Police spokesperson said.
