Happy birthday TOPS
LAST week was a celebration for volunteers at the Timboon Opportunity Shop (TOPS).
The shop officially celebrated 13 years of operation, according to TOPS co-ordinator Brenda Parfett.
“Over the years we have made thousands of dollars for Timboon and district community,” she said.
“Certainly, this is possible because of the volunteers and wonderful community that supply goods to TOPS.
“So, pop into the shop and wish volunteers a happy birthday.”
TOPS volunteers received a special recognition for their continued efforts and dedication to the Timboon and district community, according to Mrs Parfett.
“Last month we were awarded a Wannon Volunteer Award for 2024,” she said.
“Twelve excited volunteers travelled by bus to Ararat to accept the award from federal member Dan Tehan.
“We were among some amazing other volunteers also who won awards.
“We appreciated the generous use of Popes bus and driver ‘Macka’; so a big thankyou to Popes Buslines.”
