Have your say on rebuild at Jubilee Park
CORANGAMITE Shire Council is proposing to replace the old conveniences at Jubilee Park in Skipton.

Acting manager facilities and recreation Jane Hinds invited residents to share their opinion and ideas.
“Hygiene, accessibility, safety and appearance are all really important and we want the people who will be using the facilities to have a part in getting it right,” she said.
“Come and meet our team at Skipton Spring Festival on Saturday, November 9 to share your ideas.
“Our engineers have come up with a number of alternative designs and we want to hear from each community about which best suits their needs.”
Option 1: Two unisex, accessible toilets;
Option 2: Two unisex, accessible toilets and a shelter;
Option 3: Three unisex toilets (one accessible, one ambulant and one standard); and
Option 4: Three unisex toilets (one accessible, one ambulant and one standard) and a shelter.
Ms Hinds said the new facility will have an accessible toilet with a baby change table.
“The designs incorporate features aimed at minimising operation and maintenance costs over the lifespan of the new blocks, such as stainless-steel fittings and fixtures,” she said.
“Good planning now will enable us to design and build efficient and environmentally smart facilities that use less water and energy and produce less greenhouse gas and waste.”
Possible environmentally sustainable concepts and initiatives include:
Natural light;
Low energy fixtures;
Natural ventilation;
Light-coloured and reflective internal surfaces;
Dual flush systems;
Time controlled taps;
Flow regulators on taps; and
Water efficient fixtures.
To see the designs and leave comments, residents can go to corangamite.vic.gov.au/toilets.
