Head-on investigated

EMERGENCY services were called to a head-on collision between two vehicles near Simpson last Wednesday.


Cobden Police Leading Senior Constable Rachel Wass said the incident involved a truck and car.

“The car was on the wrong side of the road going around a bend,” she said.

“The driver of the ute was taken to hospital.”

Ldg Senior Const Wass said investigations into the incident were ongoing.

An Ambulance Victoria media spokesperson said paramedics were called to reports of a collision at about 2.15pm.

“A man in his 40s has been transported by road to Warrnambool Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries,” the spokesperson said.

“One other person was assessed at the scene, but was not taken to hospital.”
