Heavens opened in the region
APRIL was a wet month for Camperdown, Derrinallum and Lismore, with two areas recording rainfall above the long-term April average.
Camperdown experienced 56.8mm of rainfall in April, which is higher than the long-term monthly average of 50.7mm.
However, the figure is lower than last year’s total of 87.6mm falling within the same month.
The highest daily rainfall in Camperdown was recorded on April 2, where 15mm hit the ground.
Currently, Camperdown’s rainfall total for 2024 sits at 117.4mm.
Meanwhile, Derrinallum saw 46.6mm of rainfall hit the ground for the month of April.
The figure is below the long-term monthly average of 50.5mm and last year’s April rainfall total of 56mm.
Derrinallum’s highest daily rainfall was recorded on April 2, where 13.4mm fell in the span of 24 hours.
To date, Derrinallum’s rainfall total for 2024 is 98.2mm.
Lismore recorded 52.9mm of rainfall for April.
The figure is higher than the long-term monthly average of 50mm but is lower than last April’s total of 53.4mm.
The highest daily rainfall for Lismore was recorded on April 2, where 15.4mm hit the ground.
Lismore’s total rainfall for 2024 currently sits at 87.7mm
