Last weekend saw the VIBBA singles played at Sunshine and for Heytesbury, four players tried their luck – Harmony Rasmussen, Noah Mungean, Scott Pierce and Arthur Finch.

In the first round, Harmony was up against Michelle Tait (Ballarat) and held her own for the first half but was defeated by Michelle.

This was a great effort given Harmony only started playing indoor bowls at Easter.

Noah Mungean played Stuart Lacy on a mat that was “interesting” but unfortunately, Stuart got the better of Noah.

Scott’s first game was against Bob Constantine (south group) and Scott defeated Bob to get through to the second round.

Arthur played Adrian Ballinger (northern districts) in the first round and Arthur was successful against Adrian.

In the second round, Scott had a walk over into the quarter finals while Arthur played Stuart Lacy and defeated Stuart to advance.

In the quarter finals, Scott met David Speechley (Ballarat) and while Scott held for the first half, the second half saw David defeat Scott.

Arthur defeated Aiden Bedgood to advance to the semi-finals, where he met Jak Wilson.

The King was on a roll as Jak succumbed to Arthur, to book a spot in the final against David Speechley.

Well done to Harmony, Noah and Scott and congratulations to Arthur.
