ROUND 12 of pennant action saw a close game in division one between Scotts Creek and Timboon Lawn.
Lawns hosted Creek and after an even first half, the home side took the win 21-15.
Glenormiston 1 lost to Timboon Lawn 2, 14-26 and now must win against Laang-Ecklin next week to have any chance at finals.
The third match saw Cobden 1 host Camperdown 1, with the hosts defeated 14-20, while the final division one match saw Laang-Ecklin defeat Camperdown 2, 33-11.
The division one top four this week are Scotts Creek 1, Timboon Lawn 2, Timboon Lawn 1 and Laang Ecklin.
With the bottom four separated only by percentage and Laang-Ecklin a game ahead of the chasing pack, the next two rounds of the home and away season will be crucial for survival.
In division two, Glenormiston 2 defeated Mepunga 1, 30-13.
Glenormiston 2 is fourth by percentage and one game behind third placed Simpson 2.
The division two top four this week are Mepunga 2, Mepunga 1, Simpson 2 and Glenormiston 2.
With Mepunga 2 and 1 locking up the top spots, the last two spots are still very much up for grabs by three teams in contention.
In division three, Glenormiston 3 defeated Cobden 2, 22-6 while Peterborough drew with Scotts Creek 3, 18-all and Scotts Creek 2 lost to Timboon Lawn 5, 16-29.
The division three top four this week are Glenormiston 3, Cobden 2, Scotts Creek 3 and Timboon Lawn 5.
The top four are locked in at this point but the order is yet to be determined.
Last Tuesday, Camperdown had its soup and sandwich monthly tournament and 30 players enjoyed indoor bowls.
The team of Neville Page, Helen Harney, Genevieve McMillian and Brenda Willis were the only four game winners for the day.
On a countback, the runners-up were Gerard Noonan, Rene Wyles, Dawn McDowell and Wal Body.
The last soup and sandwich for the season will be Tuesday, August 1.
The South West Challenge (Heytesbury versus Warrnambool) is on and entries are being accepted for that event through club secretaries.
The South West Challenge will be held at the Warrnambool Stadium on Sunday, July 16.
The contingent of 44 players are currently being finalised.
The HIBBA Championships will be held on Friday, July 21 at Timboon Sports Stadium from 7pm.
The singles champions from Heytesbury clubs will face off against each other to crown the HIBBA Champion of Champions.
