Do you hear that? It’s the familiar sound of This Week in Heytesbury and the 2022 HIBBA Indoor Bowls season firing up.

I hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break. Now, onto pennant stuff.

The first round of the 2022 HIBBA pennant season starts this Wednesday, April 20, and we’ll have all the action next week.

Pennant draws have now been released and if you haven’t got your copy yet, please let secretary Pam or pennant secretary Maria know and they can get it sorted.

They have also been posted in the HIBBA Facebook group as well.

Pennant is now 18 ends – down from 21 ends to allow people to get home earlier on pennant nights, as passed at the last HIBBA Annual General Meeting.

A reminder that clubs should send clear, legible pictures of your completed, matching and signed pennant scorecards to pennant secretary Maria on 0438 377 613, before either depositing them into the Camperdown Bowls Club mailbox or mailing them off to PO Box 112 Camperdown Vic 3260.

Now, onto the 2022 HIBBA Opening Tournament at Timboon Sports Stadium.

A great turnout for the 2022 HIBBA Indoor bowls season opener saw 14 teams vie for glory.

There was a great atmosphere with plenty of regulars and a few fresh new faces, which is always encouraging to see.

Everyone enjoyed their evening and was capped off nicely with a cuppa and bikkies.

At the end of the night there was only one three-game winner, the team of Arthur Finch (s), Lyn Payne, Nola Duncan and Deb Cheslett.

The runners-up won two games and the highest winning margin on the night went to Max Heard (s), Jean Clover, Marlene Page and Dianne McSween.

Congratulations to the winners and the runners-up.

Next, the syllabus has been released and here are some key dates to mention:
