THE trend of high rainfall continued through November for Terang and Mortlake.
Mortlake experienced 86.6mm of rain during the month, above the long-term average of 49.9mm.
The figure marked the fifth consecutive month the town has received rainfall above the long-term average as the La Nina weather system brings above average rainfall and cooler temperatures across the state.
The highest daily rainfall occurred on November 19 when 19.4mm of rain hit the ground.
The result marks an increase on the November 2021 rainfall of 34.4mm.
With one month remaining on the year, the total rainfall experienced in Mortlake through 2022 has been 715.4mm, well above the 588.2mm long-term yearly average.
The monthly rainfall figure was even higher in Terang, with 112.4mm of rainfall during November.
The highest daily rainfall occurred on November 20, when 28mm of rain hit the ground.
Through the first 11 months of the year Terang experienced 864.4mm, above the long-term yearly average of 779.9mm
