High rainfall recorded for Terang, Mortlake
AUTUMN was off to a wet start this year, with figures showing Terang and Mortlake experienced rainfall above the long-term average during March.

AUTUMN was off to a wet start this year, with figures showing Terang and Mortlake experienced rainfall above the long-term average during March.
A total of 75.8mm of rain hit the ground in Terang during March, above the long-term average monthly rainfall of 48.3mm.
The majority of the rainfall occurred over two periods; March 5 when 38.2mm was recorded and on March 15 when 23mm of rain fell.
The figure more than doubled the 30.4mm result recorded in March 2021.
Mortlake was able to keep a little drier despite also seeing results above the long-term average.
A total of 57.8mm was recorded during March in Mortlake, surpassing the long-term average of 32.2mm.
The highest daily rainfall recorded in Mortlake was on March 2, when 26mm hit the ground.
The figure more than doubled the rainfall recorded in March 2021, when 24.2mm hit the ground.
