CORANGAMITE’S hockey teams all performed exceptionally well during last weekend’s finals.

In the under 16 winter competition, trying conditions greeted the teams.

Craters got off to a great start when Isla and Charlotte combined to open the scoring, but at the final whistle Lakers were deserving winners after adding four unanswered goals (Oliver 2, Akeisha 1 and Noah 1).

Congratulations to Jocelyn and her team on finishing third.

The under 12s winter Warrnambool competition ended on the weekend for a great group of kids.

It was a Corangamite Comets (purple) vs Corangamite Volcanoes (blue) grand final.

Many thanks to all the parents for driving their kids each Saturday and thank you to the coaches and team minders – the club looks forward to seeing everyone in 2024.

A few mums got together this term and had a go at hockey.

Skills ranged from never having played before to skilled and competent players.

Loads of fun was had and on Saturday the team played off for third place and won.

A large thank you to all who played and also to all the support people who have assisted to make it happen.
