Nearest the pin (second shots) – 5th and 7th Vera Coney with chip-ins, 10th Heather Finlayson, 14th Donna Weller and the Nutrien ball on the 13th went to Susanne Wallace.
A special presentation was also made to Nelle Cashmore, who (along with other Timboon ladies) enjoyed a golf trip to New Zealand in March.
During play at the New Plymout New Zealand Golf Club on March 14, Nelle had a hole-in-one on the sixth hole using a six iron.
It was her very first hole-in-one – and on an international course.
The New Plymouth club kept her ball and had it mounted on a trophy and sent to Timboon gold.
Nelle has been travelling the past few months and was surprised when presented with the trophy last week.
Last Saturday members played a stableford round.
A grade winner was Neil Gowland with 39 points from Brody Mahoney 38 and Steven Crees 36.
B grade was won by Mick Plozza with 36 points from Gavin Rundle and Norm Hardingham both on 32.
The ladies’ winner was Judy Walsh with 37 points from Debbie Norton 33.
Nearest the pins: 5th Matt Walker, 7th Jack Rowe, 10th Jamie Norton and 14th Mick Plozza.
Aiden Mansbridge won the Nutrien ball with his second shot on the 11th.
Thursday’s 12-hole Railway View chicken day was won by Gordon Broderick with 27 points from John Bertram 25.
Andrew Grant was nearest the pin.
This Saturday, October 26, will be stroke for the monthly medals.
