CAMPERDOWN runners were greeted with perfect weather conditions for last weekend’s Melbourne marathon.

CAMPERDOWN runners were greeted with perfect weather conditions for last weekend’s Melbourne marathon.
After the past two years of COVID lockdowns, the Camperdown runners were thrilled the event was finally staged, giving a large contingent of local runners the opportunity to take part.
Seven runners from the Lakes and Craters group, along with their partners and children, tackled the 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km courses.
Those representing the runners’ group included Luke Woodmason (42.2km in a time of 3:18.39), Davina Pickles (42.2kms, 3:25.22), Paul Kingston (42.2km, 4:06.52), Meta Vincent (42.2kms, 3:25.22), Dale Wills (21.1km, 1:49.12), Paula Duynhoven (21.1km, 2:01.14), Ellie Rickard (10km, 52:39), Felicity Wills (10km, 1:02.37), Laura Woodmason (5km, 56:45), Sophie Woodmason (5km, 56:45), Taj Woodmason (5km, 56:26) and Pippa Woodmason (5km, 56:29).
Both Luke Woodmason and Davina Pickles recorded personal best times.
The Lakes and Craters runners’ group includes members who enjoy running to keep physically and mentally fit.
The group comprises runners of all ages who enjoy each other’s company while running as far and as often as they like.
The group currently meets three times a week; each Tuesday and Thursday at 6am and every Sunday at 8am.
