Camperdown’s Indiana Cameron has had a great season on the basketball courts across the district, bringing home three premierships and a swag of awards.

The talented 16 year-old, who is currently in year 11 at Mercy Regional College, has dominated the courts across the district in recent months.

A valued member of the Colac Kookers’ under 18s and CBL women’s sides, Indiana has accumulated a large number of awards this year.

She brought home a premiership medallion from the Colac Basketball Association and was also named best and fairest in the CBL and under 18 divisions.

In the Camperdown Basketball Association, Indiana and her team-mates became under 17 premiers and she was also named MVP in the grand final match – along with taking out the association’s best and fairest award.

Earlier this week the Terang Basketball Association wrapped up its 2024 season.

Indiana and her team-mates finished premiers in the women’s competition and she was also named MVP in the grand final - and again took home the best and fairest award.

According to proud mum Jocelyn, Indiana has been playing basketball since she was old enough to compete.

“She absolutely loves it,” Jocelyn said.

“Even though she’s not all that tall, she’s pretty quick.

“She’s had a great year on the basketball courts and now it’s time for netball.”
